Katy Perry released a new wedding anthem early Thursday, but it also served as a sort of birth announcement. The song, "Never Worn White," is about the fears and hopes of an upcoming wedding, presumably inspired by her engagement to actor Orlando Bloom. But at the end of the video for the song, Perry turns to the side to reveal her pregnant belly. "There’s a lot that will be happening this summer," she said on Instagram Live after her video debuted. "Not only will I be giving birth — literally — but also figuratively," to a new album.
Her pregnancy is "probably the longest secret" she has "ever had to keep," Perry said. This will be the first child for Perry, 35; Bloom, 43, has a 9-year-old son with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. The Perry-Bloom wedding is scheduled for June, Page Six reports, though the venue — Japan — might be problematic if the COVID-19 coronavirus is still rampant.
