There has been one positive outcome from the lack of live sporting action during the coronavirus lockdown - the chance to look back at some of sport’s classic moments, matches and tournaments.
TV broadcasters and social media admins from clubs and associations have been delving into the archives to fill the schedules during the stay-at-home period.
From Rugby World Cup classics to memorable football matches, we pick out some of the best sporting action to watch on TV and YouTube today, tomorrow and Sunday. All times stated below are UK.

How to watch: ITV Sport on YouTube As ITV Football’s Twitter account says: “Before ‘Aguerooooooo!’ there was... ‘It’s up for grabs now!’” In one of English football’s most memorable finishes to a season Arsenal won the First Division title after victory at Anfield against Liverpool. The Gunners needed to win by two goals and they did in dramatic fashion. ITV Sport’s YouTube channel shows extended highlights of The Decider.
Anthony Joshua day on Sky Sports
When: all day on Friday 27 March Sky Sports Action is today broadcasting all 24 fights of Anthony Joshua’s professional boxing career. This evening’s bouts see AJ lose his belts to Andy Ruiz Jr in New York then regain them in the Saudi Arabia rematch.
Le Tournoi 1997: England vs. Italy
When: Friday 27 March at 8pm on YouTube The Three Lions were meant to play Italy in an international friendly tonight at Wembley but the match was cancelled. So instead there will be a live #ReLions re-run of the 1997 clash against the Azzurri at Le Tournoi.
Rugby World Cup classics
How to watch: World Rugby on YouTube World Rugby is picking out some classic encounters from the Rugby World Cup on its YouTube channel. There are three games to watch this weekend.
- Friday 27 March at 7pm: Tonga vs. France at RWC 2011
- Saturday 28 March at 7pm: Wales vs. Fiji at RWC 2007
- Sunday 29 March at 4pm: Uruguay vs. Fiji at RWC 2019

MOTD: The 2018 World Cup Story
When: Saturday 28 March at 3pm on BBC One Football nearly came home but England’s World Cup dreams were dashed after losing in the semi-finals against Croatia. BBC Sport looks back at the tournament in Russia where France were crowned world champions.
Match of the Day Top 10 podcast: Goalscorers
When: Saturday 28 March at 10.20pm on BBC One Gary Lineker, Alan Shearer and Ian Wright - who were all handy finishers - debate the top ten strikers of the Premier League era.
2019: The Lionesses’ Summer
When: Sunday 29 March at 2.45pm on BBC One Another major tournament, another semi-final heartbreak for England - this time for the Lionesses at the 2019 Fifa Women’s World Cup. A look back at the tournament in France, including England’s run to the final four.
Scottish Cup classics
BBC Scotland will be showing a number of classic games over the next few weeks - starting tonight with a memorable Edinburgh derby.
A rerun of the 2012 Scottish Cup final between Hearts and Hibs begins at 7pm on Friday then on Sunday the 1991 final between Motherwell and Dundee United will be shown in full at 7.15pm.

England rugby classics on Sky Sports
When: all day on Saturday 28 March From 6.30am tomorrow Sky Sports is showing seven classic international rugby matches involving England. The action starts with the first Test against Australia in 2016 and ends with the 2002 clash against the All Blacks.
#F1Rewind: 2014 Duel in the Desert
Formula 1 2014 Bahrain Grand Prix
When: Saturday 28 March at 3pm on F1.com and YouTube The 2014 “Duel in the Desert” saw Mercedes team-mates Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg go wheel to wheel in a memorable race under the lights in Bahrain. The late Niki Lauda said of the classic race: “Anyone who complains that this is boring is an idiot.”
