Is craft beer killing Bud Light?

Sales of light beer in America are projected to hit a 10-year low in 2015, according to the Shanken News Daily. The reason? Americans are increasingly quaffing "more flavorful alternatives such as imports, specialty craft beers, RTDs [Ready-to-drink spirits] and ciders."

Craft beer is getting the most attention as the Bud-killer here. And indeed, craft beers have nearly doubled their market share in the past five years; the industry enjoyed 20 percent growth from 2012 to 2013 alone.
