UAB scores first March Madness upset with win over Iowa State
The University of Alabama at Birmingham pulled off a stunning victory over Iowa State on Thursday, topping the third-seeded Cyclones 60-59 for the first upset of the 2015 NCAA Tournament. With its high-octane offense, Iowa State was one of the trendiest sleeper picks to make a Final Four run. Meaning, the unheralded Blazers — a No. 14 seed that only made the tournament by winning the Conference USA title — just busted a whole lot of brackets.
Here's the bucket that put UAB up for good with under a minute to play. —Jon Terbush
