In its 100 year history, Planned Parenthood has never offered an endorsement in a presidential primary — until today. The women's health organization has announced it is backing Hillary Clinton.

Clinton said she was "honored" by the endorsement, and added that as president she would "defend against attacks on reproductive health care, and protect access to affordable contraception and safe and legal abortion across the country." The endorsement could fuel Clinton's opponents on the Republican side, however; Carly Fiorina and others have slammed Planned Parenthood for videos supposedly showing the organization selling tissue from aborted fetuses.
