Some conspiracy theorists really believe Katy Perry is JonBenét Ramsey
The conspiracies swirling around the death of Antonin Scalia are so last week — now, everyone's talking about how pop singer Katy Perry is really JonBenét Ramsey, the child beauty pageant participant who was murdered 20 years ago.
The chief conspiracy theorist, Dave Johnson, posted a 7-minute video to YouTube in 2014, claiming that Katy and JonBenét are one and the same. The video is making the rounds again, attempting to explain that JonBenét did not die, but was sacrificed for fame, ultimately evolving into the "Katy Perry character" we all know. The proof? Not only do JonBenét and Katy look alike when their photos are layered over each other, but Johnson says it's clear just by looking at them that Katy's parents, Keith Hudson and Mary Perry, are in fact a thinner version of John and Patsy Ramsey (who died of ovarian cancer in 2006).
There are a few huge similarities between Patsy and Mary: Both are women, and both have dark hair. Of course, it's also blatantly obvious that they are two different people, but if you're able to overlook that fact, and also think Tupac is still alive and hiding out in the Caribbean, then you might think that Johnson's onto something.
