Kellyanne Conway says Donald Trump's 'pivot' is about style, not substance

Donald Trump's new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, clarified on CNN's New Day on Thursday what exactly the rumored "pivot" in Trump's campaign is all about. Basically, Conway said, Trump will continue being Trump — just a bit more refined. "When people talk about a pivot, Alisyn, most of the advice that he receives — whether it's on TV or in person — is pivoting stylistically. But, substantively, the issues that benefit Donald Trump — look at the polls on ObamaCare," Conway told CNN's Alisyn Camerota.

What voters can expect in coming weeks, Conway said, is more speeches similar to those Trump gave this week, which Conway described as "very specific, very solution-centric" and, admittedly, "teleprompter-based." "What I would like him to do is let everyone get the benefit of his leadership. He scores very well in strong leader, and that's what so many Americans are starving for," Conway said. "And when he delivers a speech in his own words, in his own delivery system, then people can actually focus on the content."
