Sen. Elizabeth Warren suggests something else Trump could do rather than 'obsess over my genes'
At a campaign rally in Montana on Thursday evening, President Trump said if he ever debated Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) — presumably in the 2020 general election — he would present her with a DNA test to prove she is part Native American. Warren offered her response on Twitter, presumably so Trump would be sure to see it.
The Health and Human Services Department said Thursday that in order to reunite migrant children with the parents by a court-mandated deadline, the federal government will use DNA tests to match the nearly 3,000 separated migrant children in HHS custody with their parents being held by the Department of Homeland Security. Immigrant advocates criticized the blanket use of DNA swabs as a potential violation of children's privacy rights as well as the rights of their parents.
