Ferguson: state of emergency declared as protests continue

Dozens arrested as armed vigilantes known as 'oath keepers' add to tensions on street

Authorities have declared a state of emergency as protests marking the anniversary of Michael Brown's death continue.

St Louis county executive Steve Stenger said the order was made "in light of last night's violence and unrest in the city of Ferguson, and the potential for harm to persons and property".
