A hypnotist from Hull has been jailed for ten years for sexually assaulting a woman he had put into a trance.

Gary Naraido, 52, approached his 22-year-old victim in a hotel bar and claimed he could make her feel better about an eating disorder. He told her he would give her the "greatest feeling" and that she would be "110 per cent OK".

Naraido then convinced her she would feel orgasmic every time he said the word "Kapow". He went on to sexually assault the woman while she was in a trance.

She explained to the court that Naraido told her: "'I am going to make it 110 per cent [OK]. But for that we need flesh on flesh.'"

She added: "I was just trapped. I was really scared. He was saying: 'If you ever have a boyfriend in the future, it will never be as good as me.'"

The jury was told Naraido's internet searches included "hypnotherapy for orgasm" and "Harry the horny hypnotist".

Naraido was found guilty of two charges of sexual assault and one charge of assault by penetration after a trial at Hull Crown Court. He also pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a separate 14-year-old girl and possession of 25 extreme pornographic images.

Judge Mark Bury, sentencing, told Naraido: "You significantly abused her trust by talking to her about sexual matters while she was under hypnosis. She felt unable to move while she was under hypnosis."
