Tekken 7 will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on 2 June, more than two years after first appearing in Japanese arcades.

Developer Bandai Namco has tweaked the balancing of characters and moves over the original, as well as offering a single-player campaign and a larger roster of characters.

There's also the addition of global online tournaments, which GameSpot says will support up to eight players and feature "match spectating".

Details of any additional content are scarce, but players can expect extra characters, environments and a new game mode.

An array of special editions will be available at launch, including a collector's version featuring a 12ins statue of two of the game's heroes, Kazuya and Heihachi, fighting on what appears to be volcanic terrain.

Players can also get a season pass that will allow them to install future downloadable content at a discounted price. In addition, it will come with a range of costume packs, including a 35-piece metallic outfit add-on.

Game is offering an exclusive day one edition with early access to the Eliza character for £42.99 on Xbox One and PS4. The collector's edition with 12ins statue is also available on Xbox and PS4 consoles for £129.99.
