Fast and Furious stage show: How will it work?
Top Gear Live set for global tour next year
The Fast and Furious film franchise is to be made into a stage production, touring the world from January 2018.
The film series "about a team of greasehead friends who use cars as vehicles to steal from the rich and give to the poor" has made almost $4bn at the box office worldwide and is now coming to theatres, reports The Guardian.
The show promises audiences they will "feel the heat from flaming exhausts and marvel at mind-blowing vehicular acrobatics as scene after scene unfolds with the most immersive, entertaining technology imaginable".

Many of the cars from the films will be featured along with recreations of key set pieces, says Metro.
Chris Hughes and James Cooke-Priest have been named as executive producers, while Rowland French will write and direct. The production team are also the brains behind the Top Gear Live tour so "they've got plenty of experience of turning cars into top notch entertainment", says the newspaper.
None of the film cast – which includes Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren – have signed on to the project.
Seven installments of the films have so far been released with the eighth edition coming to UK cinemas in April

Other recent films to transfer from the big screen to the proscenium arch include Sideways, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Lion King, Dirty Dancing, Rain Man and Mary Poppins, notes The Guardian.
Oscars frontrunner La La Land was named last month as the latest contender likely to make the move, says the paper.
