Papa John’s tells Nazis: ‘Don’t buy our pizzas’
Nazis came to the pizza chain’s defence after it received widespread criticism for condemning NFL protests
One week after blaming NFL players’ protests for its poor pizza sales, Papa John’s has told Nazis not to buy its food.
Papa John’s, the official pizza of the NFL, said on 1 November that the football league’s failure to stop players from protesting police brutality during games hurt their sales as one of the NFL’s biggest sponsors, GQ says.
“The NFL has hurt us,” Papa John’s founder and CEO, John Schnatter told the Guardian. “We are disappointed the NFL and its leadership did not resolve this.”

Supporters of the NFL protests took to Twitter to decry Papa John’s as racist while Nazis rushed to the pizza chain’s defence.
The Daily Stormer, a white supremacist website, announced last week that it dubbed Papa John’s the “official pizza of the alt-right”, says Newsweek.
“This might be the first time ever in modern history that a major institution is going to be completely destroyed explicitly because of public outrage over [the NFL’s] anti-white agenda,” Daily Stormer writer Adrian Sol said. “The Negro fatigue caused by this whole NFL fiasco is reaching heights that even I didn’t fully expect.”
Peter Collins, Papa John’s director of public relations, said in a statement that the chain, “condemns racism in all forms and any and all hate groups that support it. We do not want these individuals or groups to buy our pizza.”

GQ writer Luke Darby says the Nazi support of the chain was inevitable after its complaints, but added that the company’s executives deserved some credit for condeming Nazis faster than the Donald Trump.
