Albert Finney dies at 82: five of his best film roles

Five-time Oscar nominee and star of Tom Jones and Big Fish was a contemporary of Richard Burton and Peter O’Toole

Albert Finney, one of the leading British actors of his generation, has died at the age of 82.

Salford-born Finney passed away in the presence of loved ones after a short illness, according to a statement issued by his family.
