Paul Walker; Tom Daley; Ashton Kutcher

Paul Walker’s death in a fiery car crash may have been a case of life imitating art. The star of the Fast and Furious movies died when a speeding Porsche hit a utility pole in Santa Clarita, Calif. at a high rate of speed and burst into flames. Walker, 40, was apparently a passenger in the $450,000, 605-horsepower vehicle driven by friend Roger Rodas, who was also killed. Police said there was no evidence the Porsche was racing another car, but that adrenaline junkies often take fast cars to race in the isolated industrial area where the crash occurred. Walker starred in five of the six Fast and Furious movies, which feature a gang of illegal street racers. Production on the seventh movie has been temporarily halted while filmmakers decide how to proceed.

British diving star Tom Daley has revealed he is bisexual and currently dating a man. Daley, a big celebrity in the U.K., posted a five-minute video to YouTube in which he announced he is in a gay relationship. “I still fancy girls,” said the athlete, who won a bronze medal in last summer’s Olympic Games. But this particular relationship “felt right,” he said. “My whole world just changed right there and then.” Although there are still relatively few openly gay male athletes, Daley, 19, isn’t the only person in his sport to come out. In 2008, Australian diver Matthew Mitcham revealed he is gay. Daley said he hoped fans would support him no matter whom he dated. “Is it a big deal?” he said. “I don’t think so.”
