1. Iran nuclear deal is reached

The U.S. and five other world powers struck a historic accord with Iran on Sunday, agreeing to ease some economic sanctions in exchange for Iran stopping production of near-weapons grade nuclear fuel for about six months. The interim deal will allow international powers to try to strike a permanent pact. Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has since called the agreement a "historic mistake." [Wall Street Journal]
