For those who have everything: Malle W. Trousseau
Company co-founder Isabelle Mathez spent 18 months assembling the trousseau's kitchen tools.
“Back in the day” every bride in France started her first home with “a starter kit of sorts,” better known as a trousseau. The Malle W. Trousseau updates the concept by packaging 43 kitchen tools that are arguably the “best-designed” and “most essential” made today. Company co-founder Isabelle Mathez spent 18 months assembling the multi-tier kit, choosing a cast-iron casserole from Finland, Japanese cutting knives, even a leather apron based on an old blacksmith design. Only New York’s Museum of Modern Art sells the trousseau in the U.S. “The good news is, you don’t have to get married to buy one.”
