The daily gossip: Lady Gaga's new album will debut in November, and more

5 top pieces of celebrity gossip — from the inevitable X-Men Broadway musical to the paparazzi's Suri Cruise problem

1. Lady Gaga's new album, ARTPOP, will debut in November
After taking some time out of the spotlight, "Poker Face" pop star Lady Gaga is roaring back with a new album called ARTPOP, which is slated for release on November 11 — alongside a branded app, because no one just listens to music anymore. According to a statement from Gaga, ARTPOP is "a musical and visual engineering system that combines music, art, fashion and technology," and that allows users to "experience the adrenaline of fame." The album will, presumably, include a song or two, too. [The Huffington Post]

2. Justin Bieber's mom acknowledges he hasn't been making "the best decisions of his life" lately
Between peeing in mop buckets and insulting former presidents, this has not been a banner week for Canadian pop star Justin Bieber. But lest you think no one is paying attention to the teen's hijinks, never fear: In a recent interview on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette conceded that her son isn't making "the best decisions of his life" lately. "People don't talk about all the great things he does every day," added Mallette, which is, to be fair, pretty hard to do when his daily activities include speeding around in Ferraris and abandoning monkeys. 3. 20th Century Fox is developing an X-Men Broadway musical
Because it worked so well with Spider-Man — a famously smooth and untroubled production — 20th Century Fox has teamed up with Rent producer Kevin McCollum to bring the X-Men franchise to Broadway as a musical. The Los Angeles Times added that the studio is also pursuing the possibility of musicals based on Avatar and Rise of the Planet of the Apes — even if they'll never be able to top the one that showed up on The Simpsons. 4. Paparazzo deems Suri Cruise "a little brat"
Earlier this week, 7-year-old Suri Cruise was beset by paparazzi as she left the the Trump International Building — and she wasn't even polite enough to pose for them! "Stop it," said Cruise as she attempted to get in a car with her mother, Katie Holmes, prompting a paparazzo to call the celebrity kid a "spoiled brat." It's almost like she doesn't want to put her life on hold for a bunch of creepy strangers. [Los Angeles Times]

5. Chipotle won't be playing Radiohead anymore
If you prefer to eat your burrito while mired in a self-loathing funk induced by Radiohead's "Creep," you'd better find somewhere other than Chipotle to get your fix. In an interview with Westword, Chipotle playlist guru Christopher Golub revealed that he won't use the band's music in any of his restaurants. "The high, tenuous yowl of Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke wreaks havoc with the steel and concrete of a Chipotle buildout," explained Golub. Which is too bad, since "What the hell am I doing here? / I don't belong here" so perfectly encapsulates the experience of eating lunch there. [NME]
