Dr. Pepper has earned the ire of creationists with a Facebook ad touting the “evolution of flavor.” Modeled after iconic Ascent-of-Man illustrations, the ad shows a hunched, ape-like figure mutating into a man after finding a can of Dr. Pepper. Hundreds of commenters called for a boycott. “My ancestors were created in the Garden of Eden,” wrote one. “I ain’t no freaking chimp.”

Six of the speeding cameras have been vandalized, burned, and shot by angry motorists—which police said resulted in a “loss of safety for the community.” There were no immediate plans for preventing security cameras from also being shot.
