Gossip: Bernie Madoff
Bernard Madoff's son Andrew and his fiancée have been trying to find an apartment in the $20,000 per month range, but landlords have been turning them down.
Good luck finding an apartment in New York if your last name is Madoff, said the New York Post. Sources say jailed Ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff’s son, Andrew, has become a pariah in the Manhattan real estate market. Madoff and fiancée Catherine Hooper have been desperately trying to land an apartment in the $20,000 per month range, but landlords have been turning Madoff down left and right. “My owners would never, ever rent to him,” said one real estate broker.
