Best websites for redeeming gift cards
Most of these sites require a minimum balance of $25 on the card and pay about 65 to 92 cents on the dollar.
If you’re stuck with holiday gift cards you don’t want, you don’t have to just let them expire “and you don’t have to regift them.”
ABCGiftCards.com, GiftCardRescue.com, and GiftCardCastle.com are among the sites that will send you a check for a gift card when you mail it in. Most require a minimum balance of $25 on the card and pay about 65 to 92 cents on the dollar, depending on the retailer that issued the card. Gift Card Castle will accept a $20 minimum balance in certain instances. ABC Gift Cards guarantees that if you find a buyback price better than its offer, it will beat the price by at least 1 percent.
PlasticJungle.com and Cardpool.com don’t require that you mail in your gift cards. You can simply punch in a card’s code online, though that sometimes means accepting a lower payback.
