The last remaining hotel designed by legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright has reopened for business after “decades of neglect,” said Michael Morain in the Des Moines Register. The Park Inn is one of six hotels Wright designed, and guests can finally enjoy the 1910 landmark fully restored following a 12-year renovation. Wright’s vision is “apparent at every turn”: Original art glass “filters light into the lobby,” mahogany trim “covers every corner in sight,” floors are made of porcelain and terra cotta, and the exterior features Wright’s signature cantilevered overhangs. stayhpi.com; doubles from $100
