Perkins & Marie Callender’s declares bankruptcy
Restaurant owner Perkins & Marie Callender’s Inc. has filed for bankruptcy protection, blaming tough competition, the weak economy, and rising food costs. The company plans to close 65 stores and cut 2,500 jobs, about 20 percent of its workforce.
