Grandma's ashes given to Goodwill by mistake

The staff at a Goodwill store in Fenton, Mich., are trying to find the person who donated an urn containing grandma’s ashes. In a pile of donations, the staff recently found a box labeled “Grandma’s Urn,” and in it a sealed vase containing human remains. “It’s got to be the No. 1 or 2 weirdest item we’ve ever received,” said manager Allen Ryckman. He suspects the ashes were donated inadvertently as “part of a house clean-out.”

Police nab a one-legged burglar

Australian police have caught a one-legged burglar by following a trail of one-legged footprints. David Phillips, 44, was tracked after burglarizing a series of homes. “It was not the hardest series of crimes to solve as he cuts a pretty distinctive figure with one leg,” said a police spokesman. “By the time he left a trail in the mud, even Inspector Clouseau might have managed to collar him.”
