A bike-conquering boy's 'hilarious' motivational speech

A youngster's success on a bicycle leads to the discovery of his gift for inspirational addresses

The video: A first successful bike ride is a huge milestone for just about every child. But one boy's experience mastering the path around his suburban cul-de-sac turned absolutely epic. (Watch the video below.) The newly minted rider, short of breath and still strapped into his helmet and knee pads, was encouraged by his dad to share some words of wisdom to other kids who may be struggling with their bikes. "I feel happy of myself!" the young boy declared, before launching into a "hilarious" and "rousing speech." Climbing onto the curb, the boy shouted passionately, "Everybody, I know you can believe in yourself! If you believe in yourself, you will know how to ride a bike!" Just keep practicing, the mini motivational speaker declared, and you'll get it. He then closed with an odd order: "Thumbs up, everybody, for rock and roll!"

The reaction: It's hard for any one person to inspire a whole nation, says Free Britney at The Hollywood Gossip, but "this kid may have just done it." The lesson he delivers is "profoundly simple," but one we can all learn from. No doubt this easy rider has a future in public speaking, says TNT Magazine. "We defy you not to feel inspired." That's for sure, says Hillary Busis at Entertainment Weekly. This little boy is one bike ride away from writing a motivational book "that'll be sold near the cash registers at your local Walmart."
