Gossip: Charlie Sheen
In several rambling interviews, Sheen sounded like he’d suffered a break from reality.
Charlie Sheen demanded a pay raise and threatened to sue the creators of Two and a Half Men and CBS this week, claiming “mental anguish.” In several wild, rambling interviews, Sheen sounded like he’d suffered a break from reality, raging that CBS had taken away his $2 million per-episode salary, and would have to pay him $3 million to come back. “They’re trying to destroy my family,’’ Sheen said. CBS canceled the show after Sheen was hospitalized following a 36-hour cocaine bender with several prostitutes, and then began attacking the network in interviews. Sheen insisted he’d kicked drugs with no help: “I closed my eyes and made it so.” But he said he was “a rock star from Mars” and was tired of being treated like a normal person. “I am on a drug,” he said. “It’s called Charlie Sheen.” Estranged wife Brooke Mueller got a court order to remove their twin sons from Sheen’s home, saying she fears he’s “currently insane.’’
