Gossip: Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren
In a move to drop out of public life, Nordegren is spending a chunk of her divorce money to renovate a large compound on a Swedish island accessible only by a two-hour ferry trip.
Now that her divorce from Tiger Woods is final, Elin Nordegren has been busy paparazzi-proofing her life, said TheDailyBeast.com. After announcing last month that she’s dropping out of public life, Nordegren is spending a chunk of her $100 million settlement to renovate a large compound on the remote Swedish island of Fåglarö, which is only accessible by a two-hour ferry trip. Nordegren, who is studying psychology, also wants to spend some of her money to open a counseling center for children of broken families. “She feels strongly that children are the real victims when marriages fail,” says a friend.
