Police in Los Angeles are investigating whether Mel Gibson battered ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, said RadarOnline.com. In taped conversations subpoenaed by police, an irate Gibson appears to admit to hitting the Russian singer, who has alleged that he knocked out two of her teeth. “What kind of man is that? Hitting a woman when she’s holding a child in her hands?” asks Grigorieva. Gibson replies by saying that Grigorieva “deserved it,” and later appears to threaten her life. “I’ll put you in a f---ing rose garden,” says Gibson. “You understand that? Because I’m capable of it.”
Gibson’s lawyers have accused Grigorieva of releasing the tapes to blackmail him, as the couple battles over financial support for their 8-month-old daughter.
