Paparazzo Ron Galella was sued twice by Jackie Kennedy Onassis, had his jaw broken by Marlon Brando, and, for better or worse, helped foster today’s celebrity-obsessed culture. In director Leon Gast’s breezy portrait, Galella shares his star-stalking secrets (including sneaking in through hotel kitchens) and looks back without shame at a 50-year career capturing portraits of uncooperative glitterati.
