Teen's texting leads to carpal tunnel syndrome

A Chicago teenager who used to send up to 4,000 texts a month is now facing surgery because of damage to her hands. Annie Levitz, 16, says she texted nonstop every minute she wasn’t in school, but after she “started losing feeling in my hands,” Levitz saw her doctor, who diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome. Levitz now wears braces on both forearms and gets regular cortisone injections, but says she still sends around 30 texts a day. “I know it is not good enough, but I am trying,” says Levitz. “It’s not even good texts. It’s things like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’”

Police raid elderly couple's home over 50 times in eight years

Police have mistakenly raided the home of an elderly New York City couple more than 50 times in eight years. Commissioner Raymond Kelly personally apologized to Walter and Rose Martin, explaining that their address was randomly chosen for a computer test, and now keeps popping up, notifying cops there’s a warrant for their arrest. “We hope this is coming to an end,” said Mrs. Martin, 82, whose home was once raided by police three times in a single week.
