Who is Rachel Uchitel?

Rachel Uchitel, 34, is a VIP event organizer in New York City. Before allegedly hooking up with married Tiger Woods—which she denies—she was rumored to be having an affair with married "Bones" star David Boreanaz. "Although I’ve been romantically linked to a famous baseball player, a Broadway star, a musician, and various film and television actors," Uchitel told BlackBook Magazine last June, "I will never kiss and tell."

Here, a look at the reported facts about Uchitel's life prior to hitting the headlines last week:

2001: Then a Bloomberg television producer, Uchitel became a public face of the 9/11 tragedy when a photographer captured her searching for fiancé James Andrew O'Grady in the aftermath of the attacks. The image ran on the cover of the New York Post. (O'Grady was later confirmed to have died in the WTC.)

January 2002: A New York Times story details tension between Uchitel and her deceased fiancé's family over who should inherit his substantial estate. "Money doesn't necessarily compensate," she is quoted as saying. "But in this society that's what we use to compensate. What else is there, unless they're going to give me some knight in shining armor?"

2003: Uchitel leaves her job at Bloomberg and seeks therapy after suffering a "massive breakdown" two years after the loss of her fiancé.

October 2003: In a random encounter at a Halloween party, Uchitel reconnects with Steven Ehrenkranz, a childhood schoolmate and trader on the New York Stock Exchange. The two rekindle their friendship, which soon turns romantic.

November 2004: Uchitel and Ehrenkranz tie the knot in a "fairy-tale wedding" at New York's elegant Cipriani restaurant.

2005: After four months of marriage, Uchitel files for divorce and moves to Las Vegas. She works as a hostess at Tao, the nation's highest grossing nightclub, and quickly climbs the ranks to become manager of VIP operations. She later describes the career switch as "random" and "life-changing."

2007: Uchitel moves back to New York City to continue her career as hostess and event manager, still working for the owners of Tao. She oversees VIP operations at NYC hotspots Marquee, Tao Bistro, Stanton Social, and Pink Elephant, and at Southampton nightclub Dune.

June 2009: According the National Enquirer, Uchitel begins an affair with Tiger Woods.

November 2009: Again according the National Enquirer, Uchitel liaises with Woods while he's in Australia for a golf tournament.

December 2009: Due to "unforeseen circumstance," Uchitel's high-profile lawyer, Gloria Allred, cancels a scheduled press conference during which Uchitel was reportedly set to come forward with details of her relationship with Tiger Woods. Rumors surface of a $1 million payoff, between Uchitel and Woods's reps, to keep Uchitel from going public about the affair.

FAMILY

Grandparents: Uchitel's grandparents owned and operated El Morocco, a New York club frequented by high profile guests including President John F. Kennedy and Cary Grant.

Pets: Two dogs: Ozzy Osbourne, an affenpinscher, and Rudy Giuliani, a Brussels griffin.
