Apolisactivism.com is the home page of Apolis Activism, a company co-founded by three brothers that aims to create opportunities for developing economies around the globe. The latest projects transform materials made in Uganda and Nepal into chic designs.
Edunonline.com is the site of Edun Live, the brainchild of Bono and his wife, Ali Hewson. Its T-shirts are organic and produced completely—“grown to sewn”—in Africa, with the goal of bolstering the continent’s global exports.
Tomsshoes.com sells TOMS shoes—casual, canvas slip-ons in a variety of prints. For every pair you buy, one pair of new shoes will be donated to a child in need in Argentina, South Africa, Ethiopia, or the U.S. In 2009 alone, TOMS expects to donate 300,000 pairs around the world.
