GOOD DAY FOR: Responsible underage drinking, after a California company unveiled the iBreath, an alcohol breathalyzer/FM transmitter that attaches to iPods and iPhones. The user breathes into a retractable “blow wand,” and if his or her blood alcohol level is 0.08 or higher, the $79 iBreath sets off an alarm. Other iPhone items designed to save you from yourself include Drunk Dial, which makes you do math before calling that special someone, and Last Call, which has a list of DUI attorneys. BAD DAY FOR: Buying a Pardon, after French First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy won $57,000 in damages from Pardon, a fashion chain in the the French Indian Ocean island of La Reunion, for using a 1993 nude photo of her on their handbags without her permission. Her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, sued the maker of a voodoo doll in his likeness in October. (Reuters)
