Flickr.com, Yahoo’s popular photo-sharing site, “just keeps getting better.” The site lets you post pictures and create your own photo blog, where friends and family can not only comment but also add notes and tags. Its latest “big feature” allows users to upload videos as well.
Dpreview.com, is “hands down one of the most influential—and popular—camera sites.” Digital Photography Review provides shutterbugs with “in-depth reviews” of gear along with discussion forums that offer “tips from photography pros.”
Smugmug.com, an independent photo-sharing site, offers customers three different service levels. “Standard” allows users to post pictures and pick album themes, “Power User” adds video uploads, and “Professional” lets aspiring photographers sell prints. The site requires yearly membership fees, which start at $39.95.
