A couple this week survived a 60-foot fall from a cruise ship, spending more than four hours in the Gulf of Mexico before being rescued. Princess Cruises’ Grand Princess was steaming toward Costa Maya, Mexico, when a man and a woman, whom the cruise line did not identify, fell from a cabin balcony. After friends reported them missing, the captain turned the ship around; the crew used high-powered spotlights and rescue boats to search for the pair in six-foot seas and 30 mph winds. The two passengers suffered only minor injuries.
