Castros condition

Havana
Raúl Castro this week dismissed a report that his older brother is dying. An article in Time magazine quoted U.S. intelligence officials saying Fidel Castro was suffering from terminal stomach cancer. But Raúl, Cuba’s acting president, insisted that Fidel “is constantly getting better. He is not dying like some in Miami are saying.” Fidel, 80, has not been seen in public since July 26, when he gave two speeches marking the anniversary of the 1959 Cuban Revolution. He underwent unspecified abdominal surgery earlier that month.
