Goleta, Calif.
An ex-postal worker fatally gunned down six people before killing herself at a California mail distribution center this week, as dozens of others dashed outside for safety, according to police. Another woman was taken to a hospital in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. The first two victims were killed outside the sprawling plant, which is just a few blocks from the University of California, Santa Barbara. “I heard something that sounded like a pop, and then I heard a couple seconds later another pop, pop, pop,” postal employee Charles Kronick told a local TV station. “We all hightailed it out real quick.”
