Riyadh
Saudi Arabia has produced a series of radio ads to be aired in the U.S. to improve its image. The ads cite the 9/11 commission’s finding that the Saudi Arabian government was not funding al Qaida. They emphasize the commission’s conclusion that Saudi princes were not flown out of the U.S. right after the 9/11 attacks, as has been widely but erroneously reported. But the ads don’t mention any of the commission’s criticism of Saudi Arabia, such as the reports that Saudi-funded Islamic schools promote extremism.
