Milan
Italian police analyzing computers seized from a mosque said this week they found downloaded pornographic photos that they believed were used to carry coded messages to al Qaida operatives. The images were changed slightly, usually through color modifications, and then re-posted on the Web. The Via Quaranta mosque in Milan, where the computers were located, was frequented by Abdelkader Mahmoud Es Sayed, an Egyptian who is being tried in absentia on charges of international terrorism. Police also found pictures of the World Trade Center that were downloaded just one week before the 9/11 attacks, the Milan daily Corriere della Sera reported.
