Saudi terror connection

Berlin
Several Tunisians suspected of plotting to explode a chemical bomb in Germany had connections to the Saudi Arabian Embassy, German police said this week. Undercover cops were tailing one of the Tunisians last week when he ducked into the embassy building in Berlin and fled in an official Saudi diplomatic car. When the police finally arrested him and searched his home, they found instructions for assembling and detonating chemical bombs. German and American intelligence agencies have long believed that the Saudis are financing and otherwise supporting groups affiliated with Osama bin Laden’s terrorist network. “With this case,” said the German weekly Der Spiegel, “the suspicion has become a virtual certainty.”
