Killings linked to 9/11
The week's news at a glance.
New York
A New York man this week told police he hunted Arab immigrants for two months, killing strangers to exact revenge for the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Larme Price, 30, was charged with killing four men—from Guyana, India, Russia, and Yemen—in convenience stores and an all-night laundry. The gunman calmly walked into the businesses and shot the victims at point-blank range. Price showed up at a police station offering to help track the killer. He later confessed, saying he wanted to kill “Arabs.” The sister of the Russian victim said she doubted his story. “I think he was just killing whoever,” she said.
