Miss Universe was fired this week for doing nothing. The beauty queen, Russia’s Oxana Fedorova, became the first woman to be stripped of the title in the pageant’s 52-year history, after she refused to make appearances or travel. “She’s an unbelievable beauty, and an unbelievably spoiled bitch,” a pageant official told the New York Post. “She doesn’t want to do anything.” Fedorova deflected rumors she was married or pregnant—both violations of pageant rules—and explained she was too busy with her law studies in Russia to make all of the public appearances on Miss Universe’s schedule. The first runner-up, Justine Pasek, will serve out the remaining nine months of her reign. Pageant officials said Pasek, Miss Panama, was the “crowd favorite” during the competition.
