Kyla Ebbert, 23, a waitress at a Hooters restaurant in California, was asked to change her clothes after boarding a Southwest Airlines flight to Tucson dressed in a denim miniskirt, a tank top, and a sweater. A male airline employee told Ebbert that Southwest was “a family airline,” and told her she couldn’t board unless she bought new clothes. “I asked him what part of my outfit was offensive,” said Ebbert, “The shirt? The skirt? And he said, ‘The whole thing.’” After raising a fuss, Ebbert was allowed to fly, but is now mulling a lawsuit.
