Boxing fans hit out at Fury vs. Parker YouTube coverage price
WBO world heavyweight title fight will take place on 23 September in Manchester
This month’s WBO world heavyweight title fight between Hughie Fury and Joseph Parker will be shown live exclusively on YouTube - but boxing fans are angry about how much they have to pay to watch it, says The Sun.
Taking place on 23 September at Manchester Arena, the event’s partnership with YouTube was announced this morning by promoters Hennessy Sports. It is a first for UK and Ireland boxing coverage.
Showing live at www.youtube.com/parkerfury, the advance price until midnight on Sunday 17 September is £9.99 in the UK and €11.99 in Ireland. From 18 September, that increases to £14.99 in the UK and €16.99 in Ireland.

Promoter Mick Hennessy, CEO of Hennessy Sports, said the partnership will “take Parker vs. Fury to a global audience”.
He added: “The heavyweight championship of the world is still the biggest prize in sport and can capture the imagination of the public like no other sport. For Fury vs. Parker, we decided to make this event innovative, forward-thinking and really push out the boundaries. This is the future of boxing.”
Not everyone is happy about the news though. Boxing fans reacted with anger on Twitter, with one calling it a “massive own goal”.
It's a title fight, not a pub fight said another boxing fan.
Some Twitter users are baffled by the decision.
Boxing is becoming a “joke”.
It's a missed opportunity for free-to-air coverage.
