Florence Pugh and Zach Braff reunite at film premiere

Who would have thought the least tense Florence Pugh film premiere of the past six months would be for the movie directed by her ex? The Don't Worry Darling actress reunited with ex-boyfriend Zach Braff on Wednesday night at the London premiere of their new film A Good Person, which he wrote and directed and she stars in. The two were dating when the movie was shot in 2021, but they have since broken up. Pugh confirmed the split last August, noting they ended their relationship quietly to avoid "having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we're not together." But they seem to have remained friends, and there was no sign of drama at the premiere. The exes took photos together smiling on the red carpet, and Braff said he is "in awe of her talent," per Variety. For once, we can say "don't worry, darling" about the rollout of a Pugh movie and not mean it ironically.

Jennifer Lawrence tries to seduce a 19-year-old in her new comedy

Remember comedies? Jennifer Lawrence does. Sony has dropped the trailer for the raunchy new comedy No Hard Feelings, which sees Lawrence attempt to seduce a 19-year-old boy. From the director of Good Boys, the film involves Lawrence's character being hired by a shy teen's parents, played by Matthew Broderick and Laura Benanti, to date — and, they imply, sleep with — their son to bring him out of his shell before college. So the entire trailer consists of Lawrence trying, and failing, to seduce the boy, only to determine he may be "unf--kable." It's a rare comedy for Lawrence, who hasn't dabbled in the genre much and has been fairly selective about her roles lately, and also an R-rated comedy that's actually getting a theatrical release, something we see less and less of these days. The whole thing is such a 2010s throwback, it may make you feel a sudden urge to start debating the color of The Dress.

Bob Odenkirk to star in a remake of 'The Room' for charity

You're tearing us apart, Bob! Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk is set to star in a remake of The Room, one of the most infamously bad movies of all time, for charity. Podcaster Justin Decloux shared the news on Twitter, saying the remake was shot on greenscreen with Odenkirk playing the Tommy Wiseau role — "and it's not played as a joke." The project will benefit amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research, according to Slashfilm. Starring the eccentric and mysterious Tommy Wiseau, the 2003 movie is a cult classic celebrated ironically at midnight screenings for its terrible dialogue and production value, and the story of its creation was dramatized in the James Franco movie The Disaster Artist. Odenkirk confirmed news of the remake, tweeting, "This is real. This is true. And let me tell you, I tried my best to SELL every line, as honestly as I could … and I had a BLAST." Anyway, Bob, how's your sex life

James Cameron recalls realizing his infamous Oscars speech was 'not cool'

The cringe will go on. James Cameron reflected on his infamous Best Director Oscar speech for Titanic, which he ended by quoting the movie and screaming that he's "the king of the world," in a new oral history from The Hollywood Reporter. Twenty-five years later, the director revealed "exactly when I first realized" the speech was going to spark backlash and be panned as arrogant. "I walked backstage and Warren Beatty had this look on his face like, 'What the f--k did you just do?" Cameron recalled. "He was just looking at me like, 'You poor boob, what the f--k did you just do?' And I went, "Oh, was that not cool? Okay." But with the benefit of hindsight, Cameron admitted that "quoting your own movie as if every single person in the audience is a big fan" isn't a great idea — though it would probably be fine if he ever wins for Avatar considering no one would even recognize any of the film's dialogue.

Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, and more round out list of Oscar presenters

The Oscar producers have an important, perhaps slightly desperate message for The Last of Us fans: we've got Pedro Pascal, too! The Academy has unveiled the latest group of stars who will present at Sunday's Oscars, including Pascal, whose hit HBO show The Last of Us will air its season finale during the Academy Awards. The presenter list also includes Paul Dano (who was snubbed this year for The Fabelmans), Cara Delevingne, Harrison Ford, Kate Hudson, Mindy Kaling, Eva Longoria, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Andie MacDowell, and Elizabeth Olsen. Another notable name was Halle Berry, sparking speculation that she'll present Best Actress considering she's the first woman of color to win that award and Michelle Yeoh could become the second. John Travolta, who famously introduced Idina Menzel as "Adele Dazeem" at the 2014 Oscars, will also present, so look forward to seeing him bring out the wickedly talented, one and only Austoon Boobar.
