The daily gossip: Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer are unfortunately not dating, Jeopardy's host announcement isn't going over well, and more
Today's top entertainment and celebrity news
1. David Schwimmer shoots down rumors he's dating Jennifer Aniston
It seemed too good to be true, and apparently, it was. Rumors swirled this week that Friends co-stars David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston may actually be dating after Closer claimed they have been "growing close again" since the reunion special and "spending time at Jen's home." A representative for Schwimmer, though, told The Sun there's "no truth" to the rumors that they're an item. The two famously revealed during the Friends reunion they had feelings for each other during the show's run, which Schwimmer described as "two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship." They're both single now, but unfortunately for shippers, the idea of a real life Ross and Rachel romance is apparently still DOA.
2. James Holzhauer isn't impressed with Jeopardy's hosting decision
What is … boom, roasted? Former Jeopardy! champion James Holzhauer brutally mocked the quiz show Wednesday after the announcement that executive producer Mike Richards and The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik have both been hired as its new hosts. "Also new for next season: contestants can submit two Final Jeopardy responses in case the first one causes public backlash," Holzhauer joked on Twitter. Richards was a controversial pick due to his involvement in discrimination lawsuits at The Price is Right, not to mention the perception that he gave himself the job over other candidates. Despite this, he'll be the daily syndicated show's host, while Bialik will host "Jeopardy!'s primetime and spinoff series." Talk about a daily double.

3. Idris Elba has agreed to voice an echidna
Could Idris Elba be the next James Bond? It may not even matter now because the actor has booked what is clearly a much more important role: Knuckles in the Sonic the Hedgehog sequel. Yes, the actor behind iconic characters like Stringer Bell will voice the famous red echidna, declaring "let's go" on Instagram alongside a fist emoji. The original Sonic was a surprise hit last year, even after fans hated the character's original design so much that animators were forced to redo it. With Elba on board, it seems the sky's the limit when it comes to casting other roles, and we may be headed toward a future where Daniel Day-Lewis wins an Oscar for playing Shadow the Hedgehog.
4. Cardi B chimes in on the celebs-not-showering discourse
For some reason, celebrities like Jake Gyllenhaal and Ashton Kutcher have recently felt compelled to share that they don't fully wash themselves very often, or in Kutcher's case, "ever." Rapper Cardi B agrees that's really too much information, tweeting on Tuesday: "Wassup with people saying they don't shower? It's giving itchy." Her confused-face emoji captured our sentiments exactly, along with those of other celebrities like The Rock and Jason Momoa who have come forward to make sure everyone knows "I shower, trust me," as Momoa put it. Perhaps the next awards show will divide famous folks into "washed" and "unwashed" sections.

5. Ben and Jen are now house hunting
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (or Ben and Jen, or Bennifer, whichever you prefer) were rumored to be plotting a co-living situation since the early days of their rekindled romance, and new photos of them house hunting in Beverly Hills seem to prove the reports true. On Tuesday, J.Lo and Affleck were reportedly "all over L.A." looking at massive estates to buy together. One $85 million property they toured was a 38,000 square foot house with "12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an indoor sports complex complete with a basketball court and boxing ring, a massive pool, and on and on," writes TMZ. Apparently J.Lo's 7-bedroom Bel-Air house and Affleck's Pacific Palisades mansion need "more space." Relatable!
