1. Tom Hanks crashed another wedding
One happy couple recently found themselves surprised to have a friend — and wedding guest — in Tom Hanks. Hanks showed up at a couple's wedding on the beach in Santa Monica last weekend, as one of the brides, Diciembre Farries, recalled. "We were so in our own moment so for him to walk up, it was shocking and took a second for us to realize," she told Today. The other bride, Tashia Farries, said the actor "noticed the ceremony and gave us many compliments," and he even "gave us love advice." Hanks previously surprised newlyweds in Central Park in 2016, so if you've ever wanted to meet the actor, it sounds like getting married is a pretty decent bet.
2. Brian Cox comes for Johnny Depp, Quentin Tarantino, and Edward Norton
Johnny Depp is not Brian Cox's number one boy. The Succession star reportedly slams Depp and a number of other stars in his new book, calling the actor "so overrated" while dismissing his Edward Scissorhands performance. "If you come on with hands like that and pale, scarred-face make-up, you don't have to do anything," Cox writes. "And he didn't. And subsequently, he's done even less." Cox also roasts director Quentin Tarantino's movies as "all surface," calls David Bowie "not a particularly good actor," says Edward Norton is a "pain in the arse," and more. Cox told The Big Issue ahead of the book's release he's "expecting probably never to hear from some people again. But that's the way it goes."

3. Morgan Wallen is banned from the AMAs despite getting nominated
Morgan Wallen may be nominated at the American Music Awards, but that doesn't mean he's invited to the show. The nominations for the awards ceremony were unveiled on Thursday, and Olivia Rodrigo and the Weeknd picked up the most nods. Wallen also earned two nominations, but after he was caught on video using the N-word earlier this year, MRC Live & Alternative said he won't be allowed at the show because his "conduct does not align with our core values." The statement noted Wallen was nominated "based on charting" but that if he wants to attend the ceremony in the future, he'll have to demonstrate that he's done "meaningful work as an ally to the Black community."
4. Jada Pinkett Smith promises she and Will Smith 'have NEVER had an issue in the bedroom'
The death of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's sex life was greatly exaggerated, she says. Jada Pinkett Smith found herself trending on Twitter after comments she made during a Red Table Talk episode with Gwyneth Paltrow, as she appeared to suggest maintaining a sex life with Will Smith after over 20 years of marriage is "hard." She explained "you expect your partner to know [what you need], especially when it comes to sex," but it can be a "huge pitfall" to think "you should read my mind." In a follow-up tweet, though, she slammed the media for "making up headlines" and declared, "Will and I have NEVER had an issue in the bedroom. Thank you." Good to know!

5. 'Real Housewives' star Dorit Kemsley was held at gunpoint during home robbery
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Dorit Kemsley was the victim of a home invasion on Wednesday night, with three men reportedly breaking into her house, holding her at gunpoint, and threatening her life. Two of the men reportedly entered her bedroom around 11:00 p.m and grabbed her while she begged, "Don't kill me. I'm a mother." One man allegedly said, "Kill her." The LAPD confirmed "three male suspects took an unknown amount of property," and TMZ cited sources as saying at least $100,000 worth of valuables was stolen. Real Housewives stars Erika Jayne, Lisa Rinna, Teddi Mellencamp were seen at Kemsley's house Thursday to offer their support. Police have not yet made any arrests.
