1. WARSI FACES DOUBLE EXPENSES SCRUTINY
Conservative Party co-chair Baroness Warsi is facing calls for an inquiry into her expenses after admitting she failed to declare thousands of pounds of income from a property she rented out. It is also alleged she claimed expenses for accommodation she stayed in rent-free.
2. FURY GROWS OVER SYRIA SLAUGHTER
Outrage is growing over the massacre in the Syrian town of Houla, with the US calling for an end to the regime's "rule by murder". The UN estimates 90 people were killed, including 32 children. Newspapers have published graphic photographs of children's corpses.

3. BRANSON TURNS ON COALITION
Richard Branson has called on the Coalition to promote growth, arguing it is not matching its rhetoric with action. The Virgin Group chairman said the Government must back small and medium businesses, which are "the engines of any healthy economy".
4. SCOTLAND LOWERS DRINK-DRIVE LIMIT
Scotland is to lower its drink-drive limit from 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood to 50mg. One glass of wine or pint of strong beer would put some over the limit. In the future, someone drinking within the English limit could theoretically face jail if they cross the border into Scotland.
5. UK 'BIGGEST CUSTOMER' OF INDIAN SURROGACY
The surrogacy industry in India is booming with as many as 1,000 unregulated clinics operating, many of them specialising in helping Britons become parents. It is believed the industry there is now worth as much as £1.5bn and that Britain is its biggest customer.
6. 'ETHICAL VEAL' PROMOTED
A TV chef is to promote 'ethical' veal saying it will address the "hidden scandal" of male dairy calves being shot at birth. Jimmy Doherty says rose veal will prevent the early slaughter of male dairy calves that have no value on the beef market.
7. SWEDEN WINS EUROVISION
Sweden's Loreen won last night's Eurovision Song Contest while Britain's entrant, Englebert Humperdinck, finished second from last. Humperdinck said: "I did the best for my country, the rest was out of my hands." Jedward finished in 19th place.

8. BIN LADEN TRAVELLED WITH GOATS
Osama Bin Laden travelled around Pakistan in a box hidden among livestock such as goats, chickens or sheep, according to Taliban sources. The box was designed by the terror chief's aide, Abu Ahmed al-Kuwaiti, to transport him between safe houses.
9. OAPS ASKING CHILDREN FOR CASH
Pensioners are having to ask their offspring for money because of the recession, a survey has found. It showed that 34% of pensioners have asked their children for money in the last 12 months and nearly half have taken on some part-time work to supplement their income.
10. HODGSON STARTS WITH A WIN
England recorded their first win against Norway for 32 years in the first match of Roy Hodgson's reign. Ashley Young's first-half winner at the Oslo's Ullevaal Stadium was the highlight of a low-key friendly. Gareth Barry limped off with a groin injury.
