OBAMA MEETS THE QUEEN US president Obama has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Westminster Abbey. Earlier he and his wife Michelle met the Queen and Prince Phillip and spent 20 minutes with newlyweds the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Tonight they will attend a state banquet at Buckingham Palace. That comes after Obama and David Cameron redefined the "special" relationship between the US and UK as the "essential relationship" in a joint article for the Times. Budget carrier Ryanair objected to the grounding of flights and said it had flown over Scotland with no trouble, but the CAA said that no Ryanair plane had entered the "area of high contamination". MUBARAK TO FACE TRIAL OVER EGYPT DEATHSHosni Mubarak, the former president of Egypt who was toppled earlier this year, and his two sons are to face trial over the deaths of anti-government protesters during the revolution that brought him down. Mubarak, who is in hospital in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh, and his wife also face corruption charges, while his sons, who are in prison, have been accused of fraud. MANSLAUGHTER CHARGE FOR TOMLINSON PCPC Simon Harwood, the police officer seen striking newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson at the G20 protests in April 2009, is to be charged with manslaughter over his death. Earlier this month an inquest returned a verdict of unlawful death on the 47-year-old and the director of public prosecutions, Keir Starmer, said there was now a "realistic prospect" of convicting Harwood. MISSOURI TORNADO DEATH TOLL REACHES 116 At least 116 people have been confirmed dead from a tornado which hit Joplin, Missouri, destroying more than a quarter of the city of 50,000. One thousand more are injured. Medical supplies were found 45 miles away after the main hospital took a direct hit. The storm season is the worst for 50 years, with 350 killed in the last month. President Obama will visit Missouri when he returns from Europe. The unnamed player, known only as TSE, said he feared if the injunction was lifted he would be "booed during games and be the subject of cruel chants". Mr Justice Tugendhat ruled that the fact TSE's name had already been revealed on Twitter was no reason to lift the injunction. DSK faces seven charges relating to the alleged attack, but according to the New York Post he has offered the victims family money in return for dropping the case. Another woman has asked Schwarzenegger's lawyers for DNA tests, claiming her 8-year-old daughter is his. Biographer Ian Halperin has interviewed six women who claim to have had his children. MURRAY INTO SECOND ROUND OF FRENCH OPENAndy Murray eased into the second round of the French Open with a straight sets win over French qualifier Eric Prodon.
