1. KIEV PROTESTS CONTINUE DESPITE DEAL
Protestors have remained in Kiev’s main square despite the deal aimed at ending the political crisis. President Viktor Yanukovuch has pledged to form a unity government and hold a presidential election. However, many protestors do not believe he can be trusted. Thousands have remained in the main square. Three days of violence have left nearly 100 people dead.
2. DJ CHRIS MOYLES FAILS IN HIS TAX RUSE
Former Radio One DJ Chris Moyles claimed to be a second-hand car dealer to try and avoid paying tax on £1m. He used a scheme that has attracted 450 other celebrities and other wealthy figures. Yesterday, a tribunal rejected his “highly artificial” bid to escape a tax bill of around £400,000. The scheme is run by NT Advisers, whose initials stand for ‘no tax’.
3. NORTH KOREA ON 'RIFF-RAFF' REPORT
North Korea has rejected a UN study which accused the regime of “strikingly similar” crimes to those of Nazi Germany. The country’s foreign ministry said the report is based on "lies and fabrications deliberately cooked up by hostile forces and riff-raffs". The UN report had accused North Korea of murder, torture, rape, starvation and the suppression of religion.

4. ANOREXIA EPIDEMIC SWEEPS TOP SCHOOLS
A silent epidemic of anorexia is hitting thousands of girls at Britain’s top independent schools, experts say. “Being high-achieving, perfectionist and competitive are all traits that are celebrated in highly academic girls’ schools,” Susan Ringwood, of the eating disorder charity BEAT, said. “They are also among serious risk factors contributing to an eating disorder.”
5. ED MILIBAND’S MEMBERS SHAKE-UP
Ed Miliband has promised to “give power back to ordinary people” with an upheaval of Labour party membership rules. Under his plan, anyone will be able to register as a Labour supporter for £3 a year, vote in leadership elections and participate in the party’s policy-making. “This is about addressing the discontent people feel about politics, and opening ourselves up,” he tells The Independent.
6. VIKINGS: IT’S THE END OF THE WORLD!
The end of the world will happen today – at least it will if you believe the Vikings. According to Norse mythology, the planet will today split open and unleash the inhabitants of the underworld. Then, it is said, Norse gods Thor, Loki, Odin, Freyr, Hermóðr, will take part in an epic battle. The planet will then fall into the sea and life as we know it will end.
7. FUMING RYANAIR PUNTERS CALL POLICE
Angry passengers on a Ryanair jet phoned the police after being left on the tarmac for three hours without food or drink. The passengers had already faced a near four-hour wait to board the delayed flight. As anger grew on-board, passengers called the police. The incident comes after Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary promised to “stop pissing people off unnecessarily”.
8. BRANSON: I’LL BE ON SPACE FLIGHT
Richard Branson says he and his children will be aboard the first Virgin Galactic space flight. He tells The Guardian: "Everybody who signs up knows this is the birth of a new space programme and understands the risks that go with that. But every person wants to go on the first flight." Branson says the flight will take place this year, but his biographer Tom Bower doubts it will happen so soon.
9. ‘FANTASTIC’ VIEWS OF JUPITER AHEAD
Britain will enjoy “fantastic” views of Jupiter next month, says an astronomer. Dr Chris Arridge, of University College London, said the planet will be visible through binoculars. He said: “You'll be able to see that Jupiter is distinctly non-star-like and you should be able to make out the Galilean moons of Jupiter - the four largest moons.”
10. CHELSEA WELCOME BACK JOHN TERRY
Chelsea can extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table by beating Everton in the lunchtime kick-off today. The Blues welcome back skipper John Terry for the tie. Second-placed Arsenal host Sunderland, with Manchester City, in third, at home to Stoke. Wayne Rooney, who signed a new contract yesterday, travels with Manchester United to Crystal Palace.
